MISSION / PROFILE
Margaret Black: A Bandleader for more than twenty one years. She began and learned the business of being a band leader and the art of making costumes through her Mother-In-law Jean Mayhew. She came to the USA via Trinidad, grew up in Morvant, and was a member of the Morvant Ebonites. Over the years Soca and Associates have won several trophies in the Boston Carnival arena from Band of the years, King and Queen Show to Kiddies Carnival.
Two new carnival venues have come on the scene, Worcester Carnival and Cambridge Carnival and Soca & Associates have gotten Band of the year in both arenas over the past couple of years
